Just about every senator spoke about how this bill needed to be passed swiftly as our financial system was about to crumble before our eyes, which was apparent by the 74-25 vote in favor of the bill. However, I saw Senator Tom Coburn from Oklahoma get up and make a wonderful speech about the Congress going outside the bounds of the rules enumerated in the Constitution. Well, I must haved missed the tiny clippet in his speech where he said he planned on supporting the bill, because that's just what he did. He made this moving speech about Constitutionality, then he turned around and took the unconstitutional route and voted for the bill. We need more than lip service and fancy speeches. Leave that to Obama...that's his forte. We need our DC Representatives to actually vote within the bounds of the Consitution, or else we need to storm the Capitol and take this country back.
Below is his speech...
